About Our Troop

Troop 176 has been active since 1921. The troop meets weekly on Wednesday evenings and has activities throughout the year. During the past year, we had camping trips along the Appalachian trail, a canoe trip on the Delaware River, a bike trip, a whitewater rafting trip, a ski trip, and a day of shooting and archery at the Lower Merion Rod & Gun Club.

Troop 176 is a great group who look out for each other, and everyone else. In scouts, you learn about knots, camping, and other scout skills, but the troop also performs many community service projects in the area that benefit our local neighbors. And the camping trips are really fun.

In October 2010, another scout from Troop 176 has earned Eagle rank, becoming the 28th Eagle Scout in our troop since 2000. Congratulations to Kyle!

Meetings: Wednesdays, 7:30-9:00pm (We meet weekly, except in August)
