Venture Crew will be taking a long hike to Rauch's Gap druring the March 17 backpacking trip with the troop. The hike should be about 12 miles long or more.
March 28, 2007
Last weekend trip to Rauchs Gap was delayed due to bad weather conditions but the trip was reschedule for Saturday March 24, 2007. The Venture Crew did not end up doing the 12 mile hike due to the lack of scouts and adults. The whole Philmont crew was there and we did well. The weather was really warm at Rauchs Gap.

The Venture Crew had their meeting this month where we discussed upcoming events and ways we could raise money. The Crew is trying to raise money so that it goes towards Philmont. Some ways the crew is trying to raise money could be car washes and sale troop t-shirts. For the Philmont trip we are doing monthy hikes to get the crew prepared. The lesson of the day is that your boots are your most important euipment.
